The Amazing World of Gumball Season 7: Everything We Know So Far

In 2019, The Amazing World of Gumball shut down for a while, with only six seasons aired by Cartoon Network. But the good news is that the show is now returning on Hulu with Season 7.

The show’s creator, Ben Bocquelet, said this should be considered the official seventh season. The new Hulu teaser has sparked excitement among fans.

Watching the teaser for The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball takes fans back to Elmore, where Gumball, waking up late for school, pushes through spider webs. Darwin tells Gumball, “Oh buddy, we’re late for school!” and then adds that they’re seven years late—clearly a nod to how long the show has been off-air.

Later in the teaser, Gumball says, “Let’s sleep for five more minutes,” which seems to hint that the new series might still take a little more time to arrive.

It’s been six years since Gumball Season 7 was first anticipated. It seems like the new series may release by the end of 2025 or the beginning of 2026, though Hulu hasn’t officially announced a premiere date yet.

The show, now titled The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball, looks like it will bring big changes and introduce new twists and turns.

Hulu’s summary for the series reads
“Welcome to Elmore, where the rules of reality are a joke, and family life is anything but normal.”
“Whether he’s battling an evil fast food empire, facing a lovesick AI obsessed with his mom, or trying to stop Banana Joe from refusing to wear pants—Gumball, along with Darwin, Anais, and the rest of Elmore, dives right into the chaos.”

Bocquelet, along with executive producers and directors Mic Graves and Eric Fountain, shared a statement about the new show.

He said, “What a wonderful opportunity it is to play with these characters again!”

“Fans can expect even more antics and mayhem in Elmore, because Gumball and Darwin haven’t changed much since we last saw them… and neither have we.
